What’s the first impression you want to give people?
I feel blessed every morning I am able to walk down each street in a four mile radius from my home. The first impression I try to give is that I treat others the way I wish to be treated. In order to achieve this, I greet ALL passersby with confidence and respect. While I look them in the eye, I greet them hello with a smile as big as my face. At first I received looks I perceived to obviously be, “why is this old, blonde, walker bound woman, smoking an old man’s wooden pipe with a draft of Mary Jane seeping out and dressed like she’s a punk rocker unaware that 58 years old woman shouldn’t be wearing clothes like they’re still in high school”? As I am persistence AF, I continued to say hello. The third time is a charm it turns out as people started saying hello before I did. I am proud to say that I learn a new word of their respective languages and receive gifts almost daily and it all started with an old, blonde, stoner (triple threat) saying a friendly high(?).
